Education, Experience & Leadership

I attended the University of Georgia, pursued undergraduate studies, and completed Law School there.

My experience in legal professional activities began with Lipscomb, Johnson, Miles & Ashway, Attorneys before co-founding Hamil & Dickson law firm in 1991.

As an Attorney, I litigated Civil, Corporation, and Domestic law with cases in the State and Federal Courts with appearances before the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Court of Appeals and throughout North Georgia and Metro Atlanta in the County Courts of Gwinnett, Forsyth, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Cherokee, Dawson, Gordon, Habersham, Hall, Pickens, Walton.

My varied legal education, teaching, bar activities, and publications have molded my abilities to execute my duties with excellence.

My performance has earned me election as District Administrative Judge of the 9th Judicial Administration District, membership of the Council of Superior Court Judges Executive Committee, the Judicial Council of Georgia, and the Council of State Court Judges. I have also previously held membership to the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia and their Younger Lawyers Section.

Having been engaged in an active courtroom practice for many years with extensive litigation experience and compatibility with the court’s workload, I am eminently qualified to continue as your Judge in the Superior Court of Gwinnett County.
